Trinity-St. Paul Lutheran School, St. Paul Lutheran Church, and Trinity Lutheran Church are each dedicated to celebrating together and spreading to others the joy of salvation in Jesus Christ.  Located along the I-55 corridor in north-east Madison County Illinois, our churches and school have been privileged to be about that task since 1856!  We are excited that this Web site provides us with the opportunity of reaching many others with the joy of forgiveness and peace that come through Jesus Christ alone.

God's blessings on you as you explore our Web site.  We pray that you will find many features that will be of service to you.  Please feel free to contact us about any way we can further serve you in sharing the joy of Jesus!

NEWS & NOTES

* LATE PICK-UP REMINDER-- Please remember that children who are not participating in after-school activities must be picked up at the Trinity Center by 3:00 p.m. and at the St. Paul Center by 3:30 p.m.  Those children who routinely cannot be picked up by 3:30 will be required to enroll in St. Paul Early Childhood Learning Center (125 Wolf Ave., Hamel).  These children will automatically be transported to the daycare after 3:30.  Please understand that this is for the safety of your children. Thank you.

*PTL MEETING – Our first meeting of the 2008-2009

School year is this Monday, Sept. 8 at 7:15 p.m. in the 7th-8th Grade Classroom at the St. Paul Center.  Please attend this very important meeting where many decisions about this year’s programs will be made.  Remember, the class with the most parents attending receives a special prize!

*MAGAZINE SALES – Sales will run through Wednesday, September 10.  If you would like to renew or purchase a magazine subscription please talk to any student participating in the sports program or stop by the school office.

*K-8 SING – Mark your calendars – K-8 students will be singing at St. Paul on Sunday, September 21 at the 7:45 Service.

*UNTIL WE HAVE A BUS DRIVER…First Student is providing transportation only at St. Paul in the afternoon with service to Hamel elementary where TSP students transfer to another bus which will take them home from there.  You must sign up for this service prior to taking advantage of it.

*A FEW POLICY CHANGES--When you get your PTL handbook, look for changes.  We also need parents for various committee roles to keep valuable extra-curricular programs in place.  Please call Eva Bartony or Cindy Steinmeyer if you can help us out!  Thanks!

*SIGN-IN/SIGN-OUT SHEET. Several parents have already made use of the new sign-in/sign-out sheet in the School Office at the St. Paul.  Trinity Center parents must also sign the sheet available in Mrs. St. Peters’ and Mrs. Steinmeyer’s room whenever their student arrives to school after the schedule start up time (8:30 a.m.).  We also need parents to sign their children in and out when picking them up anytime during the school day, for illness, for appointments, and for other necessity.  This will assist us with school security and with keeping accurate attendance counts for government grants.

*PAPER RECYCLING – Please read the green half sheet about the exciting new recycling program for our school.

*HELP RAISE MONEY – for our school the easy way: bring in Box Tops and Campbell’s Labels.  Raid your friends’ and families’ pantries too!
