"I
miss everything at TSP—the classes, the teachers, the food.
But, I love high school and I'm getting A's." [Veronica Bartony, TSP
Class of 2009]
You
may or may not have shared Veronica's sentiment when first leaving your Lutheran
school, whether it was Trinity, St. Paul, or Trinity-St. Paul.
For some of us, it's years later when we recognize the value of our early
education. Even the subjects for
which we had little interest or aptitude were foundational to our vocation
today. Out mission at Trinity-St.
Paul Lutheran School remains clear – to instill in our students God's gift of
faith and to foster their talents for a life-time of service to His people.
In
this our second year of TSP's strategic plan to strengthen all aspects of our
mission, we note the accomplishments God has enabled through the gifts and
service of TSP families, both past and present.
We are especially thankful for the SEED Fund:
Sacred Education Endowment Dollars, initiated last year to help fund our
immediate educational needs and projects as they arise.
During the 2008-2009 school year, the SEED Fund supplemented monies
raised to make significant updates to our computer lab, to renovate locker rooms
and bathrooms and to install new carpet in the kindergarten classroom.
The SEED Fund also supplemented curriculum costs due to the shortfall
caused by cuts in government funding. Because
donations to the SEED Fund exceeded our needs last year, we were able to roll
the excess dollars into an endowment account that will build to fund future
educational opportunities.
In
these difficult economic times, we remain committed to improving our efforts to
teach the Christian faith and the skill students need to succeed in high school
and all of life. Included in our
plans are technology expansion, further renovations of our two centers and the
installation of security systems. We
again ask the generations of graduates who have been strengthened by the
teaching and faith formation of the Trinity and St. Paul congregations to join
our partnership in TSP.
Will
you prayerfully consider a gift to the SEED Fund that goes above and beyond your
normal tithe to your congregation? While
we praise God for all His gifts, we rejoice especially in the salvation Jesus
has won for us. Every gift, large
or small, that comes from a generous Christian heart is deeply appreciated and
moves us toward our goal of sharing the Gospel of Christ crucified with families
in our community!
Even
if you cannot support our mission with a monetary gift, We invite you to pray
for Trinity-St. Paul Lutheran School, that God will continue His mission here of
nurturing generations of families in the saving faith in Jesus Christ and
empower them for service in His kingdom.
